The Air Jordan 1 was launched in 1985 and was Nike's first basketball shoe named after Jordan, marking the beginning of an era. The inspiration for the appearance of the AirJordan 1 came from the popular AirForce 1 at the time, while reducing the thickness of the midsole, reducing weight, and increasing the ground feel. It also used AirSole air cushion in the back foot and the most classic flying wing logo from Nike's creative director Peter Moore at the time.
